Chassis and body of the device
All components of the Berloni 2000-gallon water purification device are housed in a metal enclosure. This enclosure is made of 1.5 mm thick iron sheet, which is galvanized to resist moisture and corrosion. In contrast, other semi-industrial water purification devices are often placed on a composite sheet that may deform over time, exposing the device’s components to environmental damage.
Internal Pipes and Fittings of the Device
All internal pipes and fittings in the Berloni semi-industrial 2000-gallon water purification device are made of UPVC, with a size of one inch, from the Turkish brand PayamTash. UPVC is resistant to chlorine, chemicals, and corrosion, and it does not allow light and oxygen to pass through, eliminating the risk of algae and fungi growth inside the pipes. Conversely, some devices may use polyethylene pipes, abbreviated as PP, in their 2000-gallon semi-industrial water purification systems. PP pipes not only have lower resistance to corrosion and chlorine but also tend to peel over time, leading to a significantly shorter lifespan compared to UPVC pipes.
The useful lifespan of UPVC pipes is sixty years, while the useful lifespan of PP pipes is only fifteen years.
It is important to note that the movement of sediment resulting from corrosion and peeling of the pipes towards the membrane filter will also reduce its useful lifespan.
Pump of the 2000-Gallon Semi-Industrial Water Purification Device
The pump in a water purification device creates water pressure in the membrane filter. Many water purification devices use 36-volt diaphragm pumps. Diaphragm pumps require an armature and adapter, which can lead to higher maintenance costs. Over time, the armature may cause damage to the pump collector, and the adapter can also get damaged due to electrical fluctuations.
In the Berloni 2000-gallon semi-industrial device, an industrial pump is used instead of the conventional diaphragm pump. The industrial pump does not require an adapter and has a much higher water output flow compared to diaphragm pumps.
The 2000-gallon Berloni semi-industrial water purification device is equipped with one industrial pump operating at 220 volts with a power of one horsepower and an additional half-horsepower industrial pump.
Storage Tank of the 2000-Gallon Semi-Industrial Water Purification Device
Water after the purification process is stored in a reservoir, with a water draw-off valve connected to it. All reservoirs used in Berloni water purification devices, including the one in the 2000-gallon unit, are manufactured by Tank Pack, Taiwan. These reservoirs have NSF certification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Antibacterial pressure tanks are available in three different capacities: 35, 65, and 85 liters. If the user requires a larger capacity, a three-layer polyethylene tank with a storage capacity of 200 liters is recommended.

Pre-Filters and Membrane Filter in the 2000-Gallon Berloni Semi-Industrial Water Purification Device
The 2000-gallon device utilizes five membrane filters, each capable of purifying 400 gallons of water per day, enabling the device to purify a total of 2000 gallons of water daily.
The membrane filter is the primary filter in a reverse osmosis water purification device. This filter is made from a semi-permeable composite polyamide membrane.
As water passes through the membrane, its hardness is significantly reduced, and contaminants are removed. The presence of pre-filters before the membrane ensures that water is treated for many contaminants before reaching this filter.
